Would you like to participate as a guest?
You are very welcome to come and participate in meetings as a guest. It doesn’t cost a thing. We gather at 6:15 p.m. and the meeting is from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
- Do I need to let someone know that I will attend a meeting?
- Do I need to prepare?
- English is not my native language. How will that affect my club participation?
- How can I find you?
No, just show up. However, if you have questions before attending, you can email us at vpm@sitm.se.
No need to prepare! Just come as you are and see what a meeting is like. You may introduce yourself to the group at the first meeting, and even partipate in Table Topics if you care to volunteer. If you do not care to speak up, a board member will introduce you briefly.
Our members come from all over the world (including Sweden), and many do not have English as their native language. However, we speak only English at our meetings, so it is a great opportunity to practice. You will get friendly feedback on how you can improve your English, suitable to your level of fluency. If you prefer to speak in Swedish, another alternative is to contact Stockholm Toastmasters.
We meet at Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet on Södermalm. Here is a different map than the one on our start page.
Closest commuter train station: Stockholm Södra (4-5 blocks away).
Closest subway/metro station: Skanstull. Instructions from that station:
1. Take the exit to Allhelgonagatan.
2. When you come out on Götgatan, there are stairs directly behind you, next to Gunnarsson’s Cafe. Go up the stairs and continue straight on Allhelgonagatan, about 200 meters.
3. The school is on the left side. Turn briefly left on Dalslandsgatan and enter the school courtyard.
4. Enter at the main entrance. The door is kept locked, but one of us stays at the door more or less constantly until the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. to let you in and direct you to the correct room.
